Enclosure of robots

In industrial automation, the safety of humans and machines has the highest priority. The enclosure of robots not only provides physical protection but is also required by law. In Germany, robot systems must comply with strict standards and regulations, which must be observed when planning and implementing enclosures. Our safety concepts are based on the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC – it defines how machines and systems must be designed so that there is no danger to persons when used as intended.
Vorteile auf einen Blick
  • Erhöhte Arbeitssicherheit
  • Einhaltung gesetzlicher Vorschriften
  • Minimierung von Ausfallzeiten
  • Saubere Trennung von Arbeitsbereichen
  • Wertsteigerung der Gesamtanlage
  • Safety aspects of a robot enclosure
Our enclosure solutions are developed according to the current state of the art and meet all relevant safety requirements. These include
  • Mechanical protection
against unauthorized access or the escape of moving parts
  • Access controls
such as electrically interlocked doors with a security query
  • Light grids and scanners
    for monitoring danger zones
  • Emergency stop switch
    in an ergonomically optimized position
  • Safe shutdown
of the system when safety doors are opened
